Welcome In!

To our home all decked out for Christmas!

I made a few changes to to the Living Room since you've been here...

We swapped our old coffee table for this redwood burl beauty we scored at a garage sale earlier this year.

Hence, our Lodge Luxe Christmas Decor!

This is the first year we have used this brown flocked tree we purchased at Z Gallerie a few years ago.

I like the small scale of it as it allows for extra presents as we have a very special guest coming for Christmas this year!

Our son's girlfriend, Lola, will be arriving on Christmas Eve from Buenos Aires.

She is looking forward to experiencing a Winter Christmas and we are thrilled to have her with us!

My dear Aunt Jackie, my mom's older sister who passed this year at the age 93, made this stunning gold wreath over 50 years ago!

It is every bit as beautiful as she was and
we are so blessed to have it as a reminder of her and her amazing talent.

Last weekend my mom and I stopped at an estate sale and saw this creche for sale.

My mom who has over 40 different creches displayed throughout her home, bought this one for us after we figured out we had the perfect spot for it!

She loves seeing it in our home.

It looks so beautiful lit by candlelight in the evening.

I am planning on filming my mom giving a tour of her spectacular Christmas decor so stay tuned for a real treat!

Thank you for stopping by and Merry Christmas!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like...

CHRISTMAS!

I just added the finishing touches to the exterior today.

It's raining and has been on and off for the last few weeks which we are so grateful for!

We may not get a White Christmas here in the SF Bay Area but we are definitely getting a beautiful Green Christmas!

We've made a few changes to the front yard over the past year.

We flanked the front window with this pair of topiary trees.

And added a basket to highlight the espaliered apple tree against the stone wall.

We planted clumps of lavender behind the hedge leading to the side gate.

We removed the hydrangea plants on the opposite side of the path and planted a boxwood hedge design to complement the front of the house.

We added a pair of Laurel Bay Leaf Trees and set them off with Christmas Tree Baskets from Serena & Lily.

Our vintage concrete deer likes to make an appearance at Christmas.

We planted Prunus Caroliniana 'Bright N Tight' Cherry-Laurel hedge plants all along our back fence and along this short section in the front and are thrilled with how fast they are maturing.

I tucked some red berries in the boxwood wreath, both from Trader Joe's.

And hung some red ornaments on the topiary trees finishing them off with plaid ribbons that match the ones on the lanterns.

FOR A CHRISTMAS SURPRISE!
