Lucky me, I happened to pull over Saturday morning when I noticed an interesting looking garage sale.
Just as I walked into the yard 2 people were carrying out this gorgeous burl wood coffee table.
I asked, "is that sold?"
And was told, "no, we were just bringing it out."
With my heart beating wildly, I said that I loved it and how much were they asking?
We went back and forth for a bit, neither one of us wanting to throw out a number.
Finally, he threw out a number.
$30!!!
I'm thrilled with this beauty, and thinking of replacing the current coffee table in my living room with it.
Did you score anything good over the weekend?

Wow, that is one gorgeous table! I was really expecting you to say a lot more! You may have just got the deal of the century!

INCREDIBLE!!! I have a similar one that I bought at an antique show in Maine. I won't even begin to tell you how much I paid for it!! WOW! Great score!! Congrats!!!

Terri, isn't it the greatest thing when you find something like that! You really did score...that's a gorgeous table. I did score some things over the last few weekends....mostly to sell on eBay but also a few things for myself. Last Friday it was a Deruta canister in great condition for $4.00 and the weekend before that a Tory Burch wristlet for $3.00.

you've got such a gift! major score!!!!
Oh my gosh -- how gorgeous and what a great price. Wish it was mine! I think it should go in your man cave?

Hello La Dolfina - my preferences are French rather than Beach BoHo. And did I score some beauties this last week. Found a lovely little hand-carved (exquisite details on arms and back), French Walnut chair at, of all places, Salvation Army! It has hand-stitched tapestry upholstery attached with French Nails. Just $30!
On the same day, because I was in the area, found a set of cut crystal, water goblets with intricate jewels on the stems - $9 for a total of 6. Those were high up on a dusty shelf at my local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Did not find the hand made tile I was looking for, but crystal goblets were well worth the trip.
Our mutual friend, Elizabeth La Vintage Contessa, would APPROVE in all caps!
Hope to see you at Andrea's French Food Camp on Sept. 17th. Can't wait to see what changes Andrea has made to The House overlooking the Pacific!
Smiles from Charlotte Des Fleurs
