Just Curious...

Have you ever seen anything like these?

At this point I'm sure you are thinking that I'm a little obsessed with all things Asian.

What can I say?

But...

Yes! I am!

It's those exotic details that capture my imagination.

I think this definition I found for Chinoiserie sums it up nicely...

Chinoiserie decoration has the unique

feature of combining real elements with

fantasy, encouraging the rest of us to mix

favorite decorative details with abandon.  In

short, it's fun and pretty.  Chinoiserie also

has the unique ability to look right at home

with many different decorating styles."

Aren't they beautiful for candles?

They are Fabulous! But if anybody burned them, they should be shot :)

O adore Chinoiserie too for all the same reasons. They're very special Terri - great find!

Admire your eye for detail! Yes, they are beautiful! One of my all time favorite find is a pair of Chinese roof topr tiles of a Chinese man riding a rooster. I use them in my bookshelves as book ends. Just a touch of Asian! Your pair of figures are great!
