Over Easter Weekend we headed to Sonoma on Saturday where our first stop is always Cornerstone.
I was surprised to find that one of my all time favorite shops, Chateau Sonoma, recently moved from downtown Sonoma to this fabulous new space in the heart of Cornerstone.
Apparently this location is perfect for catering to decorators.
I picked up some great ideas for my son's new apartment in San Francisco.
We noticed that work was in full swing on the multiple gardens that are being installed by Sunset Magazine due to open in mid May.
At ARTEFACT, I spied this fabulous wall sconce crafted from a manzanita branch and wrapped with mini white lights on wire.
I need to go on a hike and find myself a manzanita branch!
After a delicious lunch on the square we headed to the site of the original Williams-Sonoma store that Chuck Williams opened in 1956.
He operated his store near the historic plaza for only 2 years before moving it to San Francisco.
The property located at 605 Broadway included both Williams' original 570 square foot shop and an attached home and garden that he had shared with his mother.
There were enough photos and input from the 99 year old Williams to rebuild the store exactly as it was.
The restoration includes original signage and the clean-lined open white shelving that became the stores' trademark.
Williams' restored home, attached to the store, has been repurposed as a design studio and showcase for Williams-Sonoma furnishings.

Terri, I had no idea this was there in Sonoma. I have to get there. I recently went to the Palo Alto shop and they've added more of the home collection which I love. Hope you are doing well! Love to see your photos always. xo Kim
