I picked up this Turquoise Peking Duck a few weeks ago at The Salvation Army.
He was irresistible despite his broken beak.
I tried to leave him there... trust me,
but something wouldn't let me.
I guess it was my gut because today I did some research on him and found this comp on ebay.
I thought he was special!
I was hoping that one of you might have some advice on getting him repaired. He looks so funny with that broken beak of his!

No advice on how to repair him, but he is so precious just the way he is…know why you couldn't resist!!
Terri I love him just the way he is. It would probably be an expensive repair if you were willing to undertake it.

Oh I can see why you would take him home; charming! i don't know any craftspeople in your area but I'd think you could find someone to mend him relatively inexpensively.
Thanks everyone!
A friend of mine just called to tell me she has an 80 year old recipe to make the compound to fix porcelain! I'm so excited because she is an artist and very creative lady!!
I'm glad you all like him too!
Terri,
Isn't it amazing that those ducks are going for that much on Ebay? It just shows you have a good eye!
My sister and her husband sell on Ebay and found a Pillivuyt duck baking dish at a rummage sale for $2.00, not really knowing if they should buy it. They ended up selling it for $130.00!!
