I love shopping thru your eyes. We were going to go today, but plans changed, but will go next month if we can. I am looking for a couple of things for my family room re-do! xo Kathysue
Thanks for giving me my monthly dosage of eye candy. Loved the oval photo frames of the gal and would have been going through that box of ormolu. Liked the black chair with the dolphins. Did you get it? What was in those square cardboard boxes on the table?
I was there yesterday by myself. I must admit it's nicer to go alone, then you can keep your own pace. I just opened an ebay shop so I was just browsing to get a sense a what's selling and prices. But I managed to get an Arabia of Finland jam jar in perfect shape for $5!! Into the shop it goes. The last time I was there my friend bought me a pretty tray for $25. As it turns out it's a Metlox California pottery worth about $250. So, I guess there are still bargains to be had. Take care Terri, hope to see you soon. Mona
Beautiful goodies. I'd like to have some of that French ticking! I'm having some made into pillows for the shop now. Looks like you had a great time! Thanks for the tour! Barbara
Dear Terri, I so look forward to seeing your finds at the markets. Brimfield...how do you decide what to take home? Did you get the fab chair? I have a button story to tell you one day soon.
I said to Ernie on the way-I wonder if they could have gone to the Flea??? YEP! Good for you-how could you not. That chair! Did it go home with you? Thank you for your photos!
I am a passionate treasure huntress addicted to "the thrill of the hunt." I pride myself on finding unique items and have spent a lifetime collecting unusual and interesting "treasures" which I have used in decorating our home. I shop with an eye for design and look for pieces that I like to call the "jewelry" of the room. Those pieces that have been around accumulating energy thereby bringing life into a space by telling its story or evoking a memory. The allure is found in the details of its journey... condition, provenance and patina. Our collected "treasures" tell the story of who we are. Billy Baldwin said it best, "Decorating is never successful unless it is personal." My treasures are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop and on my companion blog, Shop La Dolfina. The links can be accessed from my sidebar.
"All of life is about energy. It's about the energy that you're putting out; energy that you're drawing to yourself, every day, based on the way you think about your life & the actions that you take. Everybody is an energy field. And because of your attitude, your thinking, your actions; who you choose to be in the world, forms your own field. You are drawing into your field people who are like you... to remind you, to show you, to reflect back to you- who you are. Believe that or not, that is what is happening all the time... and it does not require your belief. It just is. It. Just. Is." -Oprah
