Size Matters

I'm talking about picture frames here.

The other day I was in Pottery Barn checking out the sale section when I came across this nice looking picture frame.

I loved the look and the price, but was hung up on the size, meaning when 8x10 is really 12x14.

I've always wondered if anyone actually uses frames this size on a tabletop or surface that is.

They are so big and in my opinion, take up way too much space physically and visually.

I considered what it would look like as part of my gallery wall.

I was racking my brain about another way I could use it...

when suddenly inspiration struck and I saw it as a mirror on a dresser or vanity.

I happily paid the $10 satisfied with what will soon become a mirror on my son's antique dresser.

$10??? I'm running out to Pottery Barn tomorrow. Could use a few of those for my client's large bookcases. Love the antique chest. Is is American Empire?

Girl !! You find the best deals, if its not a high end sofa, or a designer suite of sorts it's even a simplistic piece that speaks loudly when added to your treasures. It's going to look great in your sons room :)

Those gallery walls are amazing, I so remember family members doing just that to there walls making it a place to look and admire for what seamed like for hours in conversation to who was who.

Thank you for sharing your inspiration.

Xoxo
Happy Valentine my friend.

What a steal! The Pottery Barn here doesn't usually carry the full selection like North American stores so I haven't seen that frame. We do get some great blow-out prices here though which makes it my favourite store. Hope you are well :)
