Making it personal

Earlier this summer while enjoying a day at my local flea market I came across this cool metal emblem that I initially thought belonged to a vintage car.

But, the name Ariel together with the trident made me think that it might have been on a boat.

A few spaces down yielded a classic red LL Bean Bag and the idea of riveting the emblem to the bag was born!

It has been my "go to" tote all summer long and I love how I was able to personalize it and make it uniquely my own.

And speaking of making it personal...

Check out what I saw at the thrift store this afternoon!

Not one, but TWO, amazing vintage wing back chairs that look very similar to those currently selling at Restoration Hardware.

It was so tempting to drag them home and make them personal :)

What are you up to this weekend?

The chairs would be divine reupholstered in Belgian linen. They are so sculptural, and I like their straight legs. I think you are absolutely correct about "Ariel."

You are one very clever lady, I always love the way you come up with such unique uses for your treasures. I agree with Loi, the chairs would be fabulous in a linen,

What a cool emblem. I googled Ariel by Pearson; Ariel is a sailing boat.
