It's all about chickens and farm fresh eggs these days...
We are fortunate to get farm fresh eggs on a regular basis.
My husband commutes to work in the central valley aka "farm country."
He works in land entitlement which has him dealing with lots of farmers.
Several years ago when
the backyard chicken coop craze started a mutual friend's daughter
bought herself some hens and started her own business selling their eggs
while she was still in grammar school.
Now she's in high school and her "farm fresh egg business" has grown considerably.
In fact, she and her hens can't keep up with the demand!
Everyone at my husband's work has to take turns when her mom stops by with the weekly delivery.
Which means we still on occasion have to buy our eggs at the grocery store.
I guess it's OK because it's always such a treat when we get our eggs from Kiley!
Otherwise we might get jaded.
I
don't think Kiley is going to be needing any college loans. She's
created a wonderful consumer monopoly that has her customers always
wanting more!
I just found this
wonderful vintage chicken coop this week which I think is the perfect
size and shape to hold so many things...
like chickens,
or ironstone
or wine!
This one is nice and clean and has this wonderful brass tag.
It
would be fabulous hanging on a wall or sitting on a primitive table or
hoosier in a large country kitchen, which I unfortunately don't have.
So, if it's something that works for you, email me to make it IL TUO TESORO.

That is a beautiful coop Terri, what a find - and do I recognise the chickens?!
We kept chickens growing up - I loved it!
Oh, I would love to have chickens and fresh eggs. Maybe someday we'll leave the city (DC) for the country life. Charming vintage chicken keeper! Totally agree: very versatile and absolutely wonderful.
Cheers,
Loi
Hi Terri
You are so fortunate to be able to get free range eggs.
The coup is spectacular, unfortunately, I do not have space. I know it will find a deserving home.
Wishing you a great weekend
Terri, what a fabulous coop! Even after all this time you still amaze me at the unique treasures you find! Wow, this is a fabulous piece and deserves a wonderful and imaginative home. You are amazing! Thanks for sharing. XO
I know someone who would LOVE to have this in her farmhouse kitchen! I just e-mailed her and sent her this link. Her name is Yvonne from Stone Gable. This was a great post. XO, Pinky
This is the best thing about living in the country, fresh eggs everyday, pork, beef, vegetables. I would never move back to a big city because I'm now spoiled.

Hi Terri,
I want my own chickens everytime I read a coop-post :)
Love the cage, I picked up a while back a wire transporting chicken cage, one that I love, its all rusted and aged perfectly.
Come over and enter my soulful GiveAway, I would love to see you in the mix, Truly !
xoxo
Blessings to your week and all things that inspire your heart.
see you soon my friend.
