I spied this amazing Asian style couch yesterday...
It made me giddy!
My wheels began spinning as I tried to figure out how to incorporate it into our home.
Usually my rationale goes something like this...
UPGRADE!
I can totally see it in our black & white toile room in front of the mirrored bookcase.
Problem is, what fabric to upholster it in and how much will that cost me?
My mom was not feeling me...
I'm asking you, am I crazy or is it as cool as I think it is?

I LOVE IT! Def has an ASIAN VIBE and if you can get it you SHOULD get it! You can find great fabric deals online...you may NEVER in your lifetime stumble upon a sofa like this again. "He who hesitates is lost"....

I would classify this sofa as a c1970 Knole-type sofa with neo-baroque trim.
Nothing Asian about it.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yes? Personally, I LOVE it and would drag that sucker all the way home, paint the woodwork soft white and reupholster it in hot pink or lime green in a blk/wh room. Oh the possibilities! Get. It.
The lines are very unique. You would have a sofa that would be special...but with fabric and reupholstery...how much was it?

I love the slim arms. Add new seat cushions with a nice down crown.. Probably 25 yards of fabric with no repeat.

I think this sofa has enormous potential! It has great dimensions, long and not too deep, looks very comfortable for your mom. I will not buy a couch unless my feet touch the floor :-)

Totally! I can see it in your toile room! Perfect place for it. Love the wood trim on the bottom. Paint it black? Upholster it in black and white ticking to go with your black and white toile!? So did you buy it?
Oh, and I so agree with you Sharon. Nasty people always hide behind "anon" or a name without a profile.
Who cares if the sofa is asian or not? It's cool and that is the point!
