My youngest brother, Stephen, became Diabetic during his freshman year in college.
(Stephen & his wife Wendy)
It has been a long debilitating disease that he has lived with for more than 25 years. He has dealt with the ravages of Diabetes with such amazing grace and courage.
He was one of the first to join this cause in 1993 and has sponsored the longest running team, Team HIS, in the ADA's biggest Tour de Cure event which takes place next Sunday, May 6th, in the Napa Valley.
This will be his 20th year riding with his team!
(Stephen and his daughter Sarah)
It is also a landmark year for my brother as he will be put on the active list June 12th for a kidney and pancreas transplant!
Please keep him in your prayers as this could happen in the next few months!

I am so proud of my little brother and am honored to be riding alongside him on his final ride as a Diabetic!
HELP US CHANGE THE FUTURE OF DIABETES
Donations raised will go towards educational outreach, advocacy efforts and critical research that will ultimately stop Diabetes once and for all.
I would greatly appreciate your support!

Hello Terri:
This all looks to be an extremely worthy cause and we hope that the ride raises a lot of funds.
We shall,of course, keep your brother in our thoughts and prayers.
My father-in-law is a diabetic as well and he goes through so much with his eyes. Nice to see even your Mom gets out and rides. I'll say a little prayer for your brother and I wish him and your whole family well.

What a beautiful family and cause. Your mom is such a trooper! You're a lucky duck and your brother's. "rock star"! I'll be making a donation to this great effort.
Terri, such a handsome little brother, You have such a beautiful family and to see your Mom riding a bike to support her boy, melts my heart. I will pray for your brother to get what ever he needs to have a long and happy life! xo Kathysue
First, sending good thoughts for your brother being placed on the transplant list. That is a trying time in addition to dealing with diabetes in general.
Yeah to you and Mom for riding in support too.

Your mom is awesome!
Will pray for your brother.
Just popped over to the website and left a donation - good luck for a great turnout this weekend.
This brought tears to my eyes, happy tears to see a family and group so united and so eager to help each other in this fight. Seeing your mom on the bike was the clincher...its a beautiful thing. I will pray for your brother. Best of luck and sending you all my warmest wishes and hopes for a healthy and happy life!
Terri,
A close friend of mine who had been a diabetic about as long as your brother also got a pancreas/kidney transplant at UCSF. That was about 12 years ago and she is doing well. I will keep your brother in my thoughts. What a great event. Your mom is amazing. I hope he gets the call soon.
