Nautical Inspired

Those who have followed my blog for a while know about my obsession with the sea and all it's wondrous treasures...

Today I thought I'd share several cherished pieces of Limoges I've found over the years with a nautical inspired design.

I'm curious, have any of you ever come across these nautical inspired pieces?

I'm absolutely smitten with them and find them incredibly intriguing.

Do you think they were used aboard a yacht or shipping vessel?

We are fast approaching the end of the IKAT GIVEAWAY.  You can still enter here if you haven't yet. The winner will be announced at the end of day tomorrow!

I'm linking up to Thrift'n On A Thursday over at Savvy City Farmer.

I bet these one of a kind pieces were created for an adventurous seafaring couple, who travelled on their glorious yacht to enchanting places. They chose the finest crystal, and commissioned the very best china to accompany them on their many travels aboard their vessel. Only a few of these nautical dining pieces are found today. As the tale goes, their yacht disappeared over a rainbow, and it was never seen again. How's that for Friday? Have a great weekend. -Al
