It all started with the one that got away!
I just couldn't pull the trigger on the $200 price tag.
But a few months later I was rewarded with this wonderful set of Chinese brushes and they didn't break the bank.
And then, one day while shopping The Alameda Point I came across this beautiful artist's paint palette.
That was the day my passion for the paint palette began...
My latest acquisition just arrived from England.
Sigh...

Terri, I definitely see why you are passionate about them. I do not run into them in the Deep South. Olive
terri, I'm crazy for these. I've passed up a few and have always regreted it. donna
I first became aware that people collected these about 18 years ago... and ever since I have always had an eye out for them. I love your new littel porcelain one. I have never seen one like that... love!!

Love, love, love your porcelain paint palette! I have three or four palettes and a porcelain paint holder/mixer thing...but the porcelain palette is gorgeous! Love your collections! :)
Ooooh white porcelain, how unusual and a perfect addition to your new found loves!! Kathysue
What a great collection...I was not aware that people collected them...I'm going to be looking for them now...makes me wonder if I've seen them, but just never noticed...love your new one!
I'm not even an artist and yet my heart beats for these vessels of paint! Each has a story and you are giving them new life. I love it when you treasure hunt!
Happy New Year, Terri! I hope 2012 brings so much goodness your way!

As a painter I live with brushes and palettes. They sneak out of my studio, ending up all over the house, however they usually leave their colorful mark where I may not want it. It's so interesting to see that you are using them as a decorative item.
What a great collection!
Just got back from my summer holiday so I'm catching up all the lovely posts I've missed!
Happy New Year to you & all the best for 2012!
