Welcome!
Please come in!
I'm so glad you could take a minute to drop by today...
I'd love to show you our Christmas mantle this year.
It is the simplest mantle I've ever created.
You should see our tree! Talk about simple!
It is white, with white lights, crystal icicles, and several white glittery vintage birds that sit upon the Christmas bulb and glow.
It's quite beautiful in person but does not photograph very well.
It seems I'm not the only one who has embraced a simple Christmas this year.
A dear friend emailed me telling me that she too used a much lighter touch in her Christmas decor this year and has found it to be very calming and serene.
I look forward to lighting the fire and all the candles and coming in here each evening to just be still and reflect.
It is a ritual during the Christmas season for my husband and I to come in here each evening, lay down on our couches and gaze at the fire while we recount the past year's events and memories.
Now, as emptynesters, we talk about our excitement in having our boy home for the holidays!
That is our Christmas present!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Hi Terri,
I just love the woodland feel that you have created! It is very inviting, and yes, so relaxing to the eye. Also, the way you have achieved the "less is more" look is very elegant, and chic. Happy Holidays to you my friend! -Al
Terri, you seem to be much further with your Christmas decorations than I am. We haven't had any snow in Helsinki yet (but actually I am not missing snow that much after two super snowy winters) and I dont' have much Christmas spirit yet. Well.. it might chage this weekend, there is a snow storm coming towards us.
You are becoming a minimalist! Oh my....;/
So charming and a welcome relief from red and green!
Very pretty and serene. I am seeing a lot of woodland and nature inspired decor this year, it is very calming!! Enjoy your lovely home and fire in the fireplace xo Kathysue

Still many surprises coming up in our amazing 12 Days of Holiday Giveaways!! The French Basketeer has a very special offering right now and there are more gifts open to enter!

You did a wonderful job on your mantel I love the little owl. I see you let your bird friends in the house as well...fun.
Enjoy your weekend!

Hello Terri
I love the scale in which you decorate.
I am particularly drawn to the portrait with white flowers and how you have repeated the pattern and colour
