The Artist's Paint Palette
I bought this one a few months ago on a whim...
I can't explain why I was drawn to it but I was.
Recently while shopping The Alameda Point Antiques & Collectibles Fair I came across this amazing paint palette.
I was smitten!
Now I'm one shy of a collection...
Currently I have it starring in a little vignette in my bedroom but I've been thinking about finding more and hanging them as art.
You know what they say...

There are no original ideas!
Just this week I came across a post over at French Kissed that linked to a blog which had recently featured the famed Lynn von Kersting (The Ivy) and her fabulous Los Angeles Shop, Indigo Seas which I cannot wait to visit on my next trip down to visit my son!
What do you think?
It's a start anyway...

A grand idea. I would never have thought of this!
I have my own collection of paint palettes so I surely understand your attraction!! Your idea to hang them as art by themselves is wonderful! I have mine as part of a vignette with the artist boxes and brushes that seem to have found a home with me over the years. I particularly love that second one you have shown! :)
The second one does it for me!
As far as original ideas...there are plenty of them out there my dear.
You have many of them yourself.
I love this idea and they are individual pieces of art in their own right. How fun to find perfect pieces for your new collection, Kathysue
Is that your burlap wall? Love that!
I think if you hadn't seen it before you can count as as original to you :)
HelloooO!
The paint palette is fab.U.lous! I love the rawness and the paint on it!
I bought some old French labeled paints on my trip... your paint pallete reminds me of the painters in Paris:)
Thanks for saying hi to me:) Love you and miss you lots too!
XO
Hi Terri
I have a collection but they are all used by me in my daily painting. I love your idea of displaying them on a wall
My best

Gasp!! That second palette is stunning!!! Yes a work of art in itself!
cute idea :)
Pretty MAJOR giveaway on Lilac and Grey today!
How funny, I also have a collection of palettes! I'm so happy to see that you love them too. They are works of art in themselves. I often think that some of the attraction is that they have inspired someones creativity and in turn have inspired us. Enjoy your new collection! XO
