Pratesi at TJ Maxx?

It's True!

I saw it with my own eyes...

 and it's even on CLEARANCE!

I was seriously tempted... but ever since I discovered linen sheets...

 well, there's no going back.

Apparently Pratesi duvets and sheet sets range from $550 up to $1100  so these are quite a bargain.

I'm curious, do any of you have Pratesi bed linens and if so, are they worth it?

Don't you just love TJ Maxx. Pratesi is out of our price range at the retail price. You found a great bargain! We wonder if they are worth it as well.

They are way out of my budget. However, I did receive a set as a gift from an actor after a grueling production with long, long hours. They are quite lovely.

Sure Anon,
I found them at South Shore Center in Alameda! Good Luck, there are still a few sets left and they are on SALE!

La Dolfina:

Just got back from TJX. I made the 2 hour trip just for these sheets, so I didn't look around at all. I was shocked to find a king sheet set and a king duvet set in this white wood-looking pattern...both priced at $359 each! I was beyond thrilled...they would match my room decor perfectly and at that price...how could I say no?

Just to make sure I wasn't overpaying, though, I asked the manager if he would check the price to make sure that a markdown cycle wasn't initiated since the last markdown and that I was getting the most recent price. He checked in the computer and they came up $139 each! OMG! How could I resist at that price?

Upon returning home (happy as can be, I might add) I checked on eBay and sellers are asking $600 a set (some as low as $499 for similar sets) and I laughed to myself. Turns out the original price is in the neighborhood of $3000 per set on this particular design. So I paid $268 + tax for $6000 worth of linens. Not to shabby, huh?

So I walked away a happy customer and there is still one left (a king sheet set, same color, same pattern), in case anyone wants it! The price was at $249 but make sure to ask the manager for the $139 price! You'll be glad you did!

Thanks so much La Dolfina! Thanks to you, I'm going to bed on Pratesi sheets tonight. I owe you big!

Pratesi sheets are a bargain at $249. I was lucky enough to find them on clearance at my loca TJ's for $99. Unbelievable. They are the BEST SHEETS I HAVE EVER SLEPT ON. Worth every fricken penny! They are absolutely heavenly. If I see another set, even at $250, I will buy it.

I bought the Pratesi sheets at TJ's and I was disappointed...I am wondering if they are fake. They are very thin and and not that soft. Also, the fitted sheet had a hole in them on the seam. I think they are all irregulars because I bought taupe first and the hole was there, took them back, and later bought a lilac color and the hole was in the same place. I liked the color so much that I sewed them and kept them but now I wish I had taken them back...they just aren't that nice. Wonder if they are authentic...?

Mine are awesome... and they were also bought on clearance @ TJ's.

You don't sleep on these and go back to any lesser linens. I sleep in the guest room now. We upgraded the bed size in the Master, and I hate the mattress... and the guest room is where the Pratesi Queen is.

There's a reason they're used by Royalty...

I just saw a queen Pratesi set at Home Goods for $199. Thinking of going back to get it - I really need to invest in some quality sheets, and these felt so luxe!

Yes. They are well worth it. They are light and extremely soft, but not to the point of being sweaty. Mine are 300 thread count I think (showing that the count really does not matter much.. Worlds difference even against other good 1000 thread count sheets I've had). Everything else feels like you are sleeping on polyester afterwords.. Found them in the US somewhere after seeing them on a trip to Italy. I have always slept on cotton though, so afraid I can't give a comparison to linen.
