The Incomparable Mr. Morgan

Continuing on with "Meet the Men in My Life", my partners in Little Shop of Hoarders,

I'd like to introduce you to the legendary Ron Morgan.

I met Ron many years ago through his partner Tom Burke and instantly became one his many admirers. The best way to describe him is "pure genius".  Not only is he an amazing talent but he is an amazing person and I pinch myself every day that he asked me to join him in his latest venture, Little Shop of Hoarders.

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting him (yet) or attending one his flower arranging classes or garden lectures the following is a short bio on his illustrious career.

Ron Morgan is the most sought-after and well-recognized floral designer in the United States. He has dazzled lecture and garden club audiences for over twenty years with his wit, knowledge and unparalleled creative talents. Through his imaginative use of flowers, fruits, vegetables and unusual items, he transforms the ordinary into the exquisite, artfully arranging his striking materials into masterpieces. His tablescapes are legendary for their creativity, elegance and visual impact.

Ron Morgan’s career in floral design began at age ten, when he won his first flower show competitions in San Joaquin County, California. Over the course of his extensive career, he has designed window displays for Harrod’s and David Jones, opened retail floral and antique shops, consulted as an interior designer, conducted flower arranging classes and, most importantly, become a highly sought-after speaker at garden club events around the world. He now lives in Alameda, California, and devotes most of his creative energies to the garden club lecture circuit. He has published four books to date.

His books can be ordered through his website here or on Amazon.

He is also a legendary antiques dealer who showcases his FABULOUS eye at several wonderful collectives throughout the Bay Area as well as in his own shop in Lafayette.

Ooooooh flowers. I love love love thee :) It's safe to say that I'm the girl that could iron a sheet for an hour & be happy. The same goes with pruning & arranging a floral arrangement! It looks like you have a wonderfully talented friend there! Ron certainly is a genius...You sure know how to pick em' :)
