My Mom Waxes Poetic about growing up in Alameda

My Mom has lived in this town for 75 of her 76 years.  Her family moved here when she was 1 year old.  Believe it or not, she is not considered a "true Alamedan" because she was not born here!

This issue of our local magazine just hit newsstands yesterday and I love the way my Mom muses about growing up in our island city.  No one loves Alameda more than my MOM!

I'm blowing it up to original size to make it easier to read although it cuts it off a bit.

I'm off to Lake Tahoe for a week so I'd like to wish you all a very Happy 4th of July.

I'll be back with an amazing giveaway you won't want to miss!

Here's a hint

Is it possible to admire and adore your mother anymore?! What a marvelous story and tribute to your mom's appreciation and adoration of her beloved town. I just realized that your mom and mine were likely born in the same year! Tell Mary congratulations, such a wonderful write-up. Thanks Terri for sharing it with us all. Have a fun, & fabulous 4th getaway to Tahoe!

all my love,
Deb
