Lunch at Garwoods

Dining at Gar Woods Grill and Pier in Carnelian Bay is a must when in Lake Tahoe.

They offer free valet boat parking for those fortunate to have a boat.

They offer lakefront dining out on their beautiful deck.

I think most people come for the world famous "Wet Woody".

We headed here for lunch after the parade in Truckee.

Not wanting to wait an hour for the deck,

we opted to go upstairs where we were seated near the window.

I ordered steamed clams which were delish!

Check out our birds eye views!

After lunch we took a stroll on the pier,

just in time to wave good-bye to a fellow vacationer whose tee-shirt said, "I Love Hot Moms"!

As he pulled away I yelled out, "check out my blog La Dolfina... you'll be on it!"

This lovely spot represents quintessential Tahoe to me!

Have you booked your trip yet?

Hi Terri, thank you for your comment. Of course I know Garret, and Sandy, and several others that you probably know. One I'd these days I do want to meet you in person, also your mother. She sounds so sweet! We are going out of town for a month so we will not be selling at Alameda in August. Maybe sometime after that we will meet. I have been following your blog for over a year. I enjoy reading it. I love your name Terri. I go by Terry, although my given name is Theresa.

This is definitely one of our hot spots! This year lake level is high, almost to the legal limit. And not only is the water clear, but it is cool and refreshing. I took a dip this morning after an early row out and around Crystal Bay Point. Looking forward to having you visit our home and pier!

Terri, I haven't stopped in Tahoe for years. We have passed through heading up to Carson to visit family but have missed all the charming things that there are to do there. I am an ocean girl but I do think Tahoe is one of the most beautiful bodies of water around and a great place to take a vacation. Looks like you enJOYed yourself to the fullest. ~ Jacque

Looks like you are having a great time! It's been pretty warm here so that water looks so clear and refreshing...and I'm sure it's quite chilly. The T-shirt is too funny!
It's going to be hard for you to leave but have a great trip home.
XO

This looks like heaven indeed! I have spent a lot of time in the Bay Area, but never made it to Tahoe. You make a very convincing case! xx
