Waiting...

For these to be priced.

Someone dropped these off at a thrift store just before I got there.  When I brought them to the counter to buy them, I was told I'd have to wait until they were priced.  That was last Thursday.

I'm still waiting...

What do you think of them?
How much do you think they will be?
I hope I can afford them. I love them both, but if I had to choose only one I'd choose the first one. Which one would you choose? The second one is reverse painted on glass.

New treasure just listed at
IL TUO TESORO.

Oh so very frustrating Terri, but I think well worth the wait. I love the first gent too & although I don't compare, even remotely, to your thrifting/antiquing skills, I'd think he might bring in $125. to $175.00 I hope you get one or both, they are beautiful. Best of luck and let us know the outcome!! Hope your son is home and happy? I'm already driving Miss Em nuts. Wouldn't it be wonderful for them to meet some day..heee..hee..

Love you and tell your mother I said hello! xxoo

How large are they, T? I really like the 2nd one, and it's very unusual for it to be on glass, isn't it? I'm certain they will be a good price if at a thrift store. If they were in the city in a nice shop, maybe $500+

Oh my hard decision. I agree if only one, the first one. I have no idea how much they would be worth, but knowing you, I bet you will get a deal!! Afterall you are the queen of treasure hunting, xo Kathysue

PS it was nice to see you over on my blog, thanks for the sweet comment. I am loving the striped rug too!!! KS

Beautiful...can see why you would want them. How large are they? Are they being sold separetely or together? Did you consider just throwing out a bargain? You never know! Good luck...keep us posted...

I really like them both. If I had to choose just one, it would definitely be the first one. However, I think the second is very unique and might be the prize. How large are they? Are they signed at all? I swear I have never met anyone who can treasure hunt like you!!!
I just caught up on the previous post. Chris is a doll and his friend is lovely. I bet you all had a wonderful time together.

I can see the first one going more with your home but I really love the subject matter of the second...especially the little dog following along. I'd choose the second one.

I adore these treasures that you find. I too like the second one, it is so unique!

I featured your site at stylesson.com today.

Wow. I think they are both great---though the first one looks exactly like Kurt from Glee to me. Does anyone else see this>? I do think they both would work differently in your home...the first is more "quiet" the second tells more of a story...

I hate that... the waiting. I love both of these, but if I had to pick only one would probably choose the first one too. I know nothing of value, but have seen this style before and think it very charming. Can not even imagine how difficult it would be to paint in reverse!
Good luck and let us know what happens!

I'm sure the wait is because they are doing the same thing you are - checking out what the paintings are worth. Wouldn't it be nice if they said $5!! I once brought an old 4 poster bed to a Goodwill (after a yard sale where it would not sell at $75) and while I was there they priced it at $50, I told the girl it was mahogany (but not in good shape), she immediately priced it at $199! It was gone in a day. Good luck! Donna W.

What a find Terri. They really do compliment one another. The last one is so unusual and wonderful. How often do you see a painting of a father and son walking hand in hand. Awesome.
