Transformational!
In that it has completely transformed my prop shop and helped to make it much more organized and accessible.
I found it at the estate sale I posted about on Friday out in the garage.
I don't think anyone noticed it.
My first thought was "it's perfect for the prop shop!" I looked for a price tag and spied a piece of masking tape with $50 scrawled on it.
What makes it so unique is that it has 16 drawers and they are all 24" deep!
My husband and I went back on Saturday to pick up this behemoth. I was feeling a bit guilty about having him deal with this over a long holiday weekend. Even the estate sale guy, Rick, told me I better make it worth his while!
Well all my guilt quickly disappeared when we got it to the prop house and found the perfect spot for it.
We had to shuffle things around but I can't believe how perfect it is to store and display my "smalls".
It sort of feels like shopping in an old time general store. I'm going to label all the drawers today.
Tomorrow I'll give you a peek inside the prop shop.
I want to thank those of you who took the time to email me and leave encouraging comments about the recent blogger woes that have been plaguing so many of us. Your words and support meant the world to me!

That is a great piece. Not just the height and the depth and the fantastic number of drawers but those little lable slots on the front are oozing with charm. Industrial chic?
Lucky you! I would like about 5 of these. Thanks for sharing.

What a fabulous find! It is a great piece, that is so versatile, and functional too. Nice score :) On another note, did you ever get a price on those two paintings you posted about a week or so ago?
What a fabulous piece! Wow, it is perfect for your prop shop. You are so organized...can you come organize my house!?! Looking forward to seeing more of the prop shop and all your treasures. XO
Seriously Terri. I can understand how these treasures are going to be hard to let go of. I for one think you should make this a Museum and just charge admission to let people look. ;-) I have never seen a collection so neatly archived. All this time you have called yourself a treasure hunter. What you really are is a Museum curator.
