Have you ever been tempted to pick up one of these beautifully rendered, delicate porcelain birds even though they have a slight chip at the tip of their beak, but asked yourself...
"now what am I going to do with this dust collector"?
"Do I really need it?"
I say absolutely!
It's the perfect adornment for your orchid,
whether he's perched beside it or
tucked inside it's mossy pot!
Either way he enhances the already exquisite plant.
So, the next time you spy one of these delicate creatures...
don't pass him by.
Take him home with you...
to live in your orchid!

Love this post :) Several years ago, I acquired a small hummingbird figurine. And, you guessed it, his beek was broken off. But, I still took him home. Can you say... birds of a feather?
Some things just pull at our heartstrings. He's such a sweet little bird!!!

How beautiful! I am admiring is that chinoiserie or a panel or screen in the background? Whatever it is..is gorgeous and so goes with your beautiful orchid and bird....exquisite!
He has a perfect little nest there and makes the orchid unique.
Such a perfect complement to the orchid...gorgeous!!
Such a smart idea putting it in the orchid! This is a great idea!

Maybe this is why each and every one of my treasured orchids bit the dust. They didn't have a feather friend.
How nice...you bought your orchid it's own knick knack. That is a pretty little thing. I posted yesterday about my Joss and Main purchase....that I won from you.

So cute- I'm finding so many great blogs today and I see so many of my friends are already here! I saw that you won the hat over at Karinas- congrats!
I can never say no to bird figurines...it is one of my many collections. The coloring of your bird is great with the orchid!
How pretty. I love the colors. I enjoyed my visit to your lovely blog. Hugs!
Ok, here is what I HAVE to know. Is that Asian scene behind it a wall covering!? Is it a screen? Is it paper? I am dying. Does it go to the floor? Please let me know. I want that!!! Am dying over it. It looks like that is a sisal rug against it, that photo is genius. The orchid, the bird, the wall, everything. LOVE LOVE.
