I love Oxyclean and it goes in all my whites and lights, but I am with you. I love Fairies and I believe she was there helping along the way. By the way She is a beauty!!!! xo Kathysue
I use Oxyclean in my laundry but never thought to use it on old linens. I was advised a long time ago to soak them in dishwasher detergent to get the yellow out and it worked. But then again, that was a while ago. Napkins are my favorite things to find when I thrift or antique! Love the embroidery on yours and the monogramming is so cool!
Gosh darn that Laundry fairy! She did a good job. Can I borrow her? (Did you know that a new co-op/Antique store is coming to Lafayette from Alameda?) You need to rent a piece of space there! I thought of you today.
Oh, I always worried about what to use on old linens! I'll try oxyclean next time. Now, if I could just get that laundry fairy to swing by my house! xoxo Beth
I am a passionate treasure huntress addicted to "the thrill of the hunt." I pride myself on finding unique items and have spent a lifetime collecting unusual and interesting "treasures" which I have used in decorating our home. I shop with an eye for design and look for pieces that I like to call the "jewelry" of the room. Those pieces that have been around accumulating energy thereby bringing life into a space by telling its story or evoking a memory. The allure is found in the details of its journey... condition, provenance and patina. Our collected "treasures" tell the story of who we are. Billy Baldwin said it best, "Decorating is never successful unless it is personal." My treasures are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop and on my companion blog, Shop La Dolfina. The links can be accessed from my sidebar.
"All of life is about energy. It's about the energy that you're putting out; energy that you're drawing to yourself, every day, based on the way you think about your life & the actions that you take. Everybody is an energy field. And because of your attitude, your thinking, your actions; who you choose to be in the world, forms your own field. You are drawing into your field people who are like you... to remind you, to show you, to reflect back to you- who you are. Believe that or not, that is what is happening all the time... and it does not require your belief. It just is. It. Just. Is." -Oprah

Love the Fairy. Oxyclean is the best thing for cleaning dingy fabric.
Some good buys!

I really need a laundry fairy. I love beautiful linens but I don't love doing the laundry. Any suggestions? :)
