It was The Laundry Fairy who...

breathed new life into these forgotten heirlooms.

This is a 52" cloth with 5 matching napkins I picked up in a thrift store yesterday,

along with a set of 4 monogrammed linen napkins.

You can say it was the Oxyclean...

but I know better!

Love the Fairy. Oxyclean is the best thing for cleaning dingy fabric.
Some good buys!

I use Oxyclean in my laundry but never thought to use it on old linens. I was advised a long time ago to soak them in dishwasher detergent to get the yellow out and it worked. But then again, that was a while ago. Napkins are my favorite things to find when I thrift or antique! Love the embroidery on yours and the monogramming is so cool!

Gosh darn that Laundry fairy! She did a good job. Can I borrow her?
(Did you know that a new co-op/Antique store is coming to Lafayette from Alameda?) You need to rent a piece of space there! I thought of you today.

I really need a laundry fairy. I love beautiful linens but I don't love doing the laundry. Any suggestions? :)
