R & R

Hi Everyone, I've missed you!

I just returned from a mid-week getaway to the mountains where, believe it or not, there was not much snow and the skiing was not that great... but the time spent relaxing with my hubby was just what the doctor ordered!

These photos are of the village at Northstar where you can see the paucity of snow on the ground.  It's crazy the difference in the weather around the country right now!

We have a place at The Northstar Club which is a
ski-in, ski-out fractional ownership in a "boutique hotel" situated in the heart of the village at the base of the main mountain gondola.

Here are a few photos of what one of the 3 bedroom condo's looks like.

They recently upgraded the living area with a flat screen TV and super comfy sectional.  Perfect for hanging out and watching movies.

I think one of the best things about The Northstar Club is how spacious the condos are.  When you have a group of friends staying with you, there is plenty of room to spread out.

The Northstar Club offers special touches like a hearty array of breakfast goodies each morning along with a daily newspaper and cocktails and munchies apres ski.

Even though there are plenty of great restaurants in the village and around Lake Tahoe, I love having this fully stocked kitchen at our disposal.

The jetted bathtub in the master bathroom is great after a day of skiing!

And the convenient laundry room makes drying wet ski clothes a breeze!

Tomorrow I'll give you a tour of the brand new Ritz Carlton which opened mid-mountain this year!

Terri your condo is so very nice and the surroundings top-notch. I'm glad you two kids got away on your own and had some relaxation. It's been since 2000 since Graham & I had a real vacation. I dare to dream it might be soon!! Have a good weekend my dear xo xo Deb

I don't know looks pretty bland compared to your house. But I guess it's nice to get away and sometimes it's nice to be away from all our stuff for a little.

Oh, I wish!

I thought you were unnaturally silent - are you all ready and refreshed for the fair on Sunday?

Sign me up! Great tour and glad that you had some quiet time for the two of you...

Now, I am going to sit in front of that fire-pit and sip on a little apres-ski beverage!

Bon weekend,
Genie

Oh how nice for you two to get away! My sister went away for a few days to Carmel. I need to do that. Not sure if I would want to take my hubby or not, lol!

Wow looks like a lot of fun! Going skiing is such a great family trip, just being in the great outdoors, together doing something so wholesome where for the most part, most of modern technology gets left behind...its wonderful!
