A Good Marriage?

One day last week while out treasure hunting...

I found this large globe,

and this wonderful old tripod.

Check out the details on this baby!

I threw them in my son's room and forgot about them for the time being.

Yesterday, while straightening up for my housekeeper I placed the globe on top of the tripod.

What do you think?

Be sure to check out the latest find just listed at IL TUO TESORO

Love both. We have an old globe from my husbands granfather and a table lamp made of an old tripod we bought in Estonia (already before the tripod lamps were sold all over).

Ah, another one that straightens up for the housecleaner :)
I love this combination....what a great eye you have. There is something about globes that I can't resist. I could look at them for hours.

Jeanne :)

PS..I am following you on Twitter too :)

I think that's the perfect combo. I love old globes. I asked my Mom for the old one she had at her house...it's all turquoise and looks great in my living room.

I think it looks great! I am laughing that you tidy up for the housekeeper, though I'm also jealous that you have a housekeeper :)

It looks great, and totally natural. Perhaps all globes should be on tripods?
