I am a passionate treasure huntress addicted to "the thrill of the hunt." I pride myself on finding unique items and have spent a lifetime collecting unusual and interesting "treasures" which I have used in decorating our home. I shop with an eye for design and look for pieces that I like to call the "jewelry" of the room. Those pieces that have been around accumulating energy thereby bringing life into a space by telling its story or evoking a memory. The allure is found in the details of its journey... condition, provenance and patina. Our collected "treasures" tell the story of who we are. Billy Baldwin said it best, "Decorating is never successful unless it is personal." My treasures are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop and on my companion blog, Shop La Dolfina. The links can be accessed from my sidebar.
"All of life is about energy. It's about the energy that you're putting out; energy that you're drawing to yourself, every day, based on the way you think about your life & the actions that you take. Everybody is an energy field. And because of your attitude, your thinking, your actions; who you choose to be in the world, forms your own field. You are drawing into your field people who are like you... to remind you, to show you, to reflect back to you- who you are. Believe that or not, that is what is happening all the time... and it does not require your belief. It just is. It. Just. Is." -Oprah
Hi sweetie! Oh, I have missed reading your posts... have been so swamped with our website, that I haven't had one second to stop by and say hi. Love this store profile and photos - hope you don't mind if I share on our Caron's Beach House facebook page. Maybe we can take a journey one day, and you can show me your favorite haunts in Sonoma!
What a great place. I see lots of good things there.
You had me at
and and a darling
letting me ride
along, if only for
a few minutes!
oh my goodness! What a fantastic little shop!! I love those sparkly letters:)
Well...really I love too many things in that shop!! Thank for taking us along!
You find the best places! I so loved this stroll this morning. I want everything in there. The water balls are quite interesting, have never heard of them before. I'm glad you took a larger photo of the description.
I need to get back to Sonoma soon and I love this store! Happy weekend!
Love the waterballs....thanks for the close-up of their story! k
One of my favorite stores and places to visit for inspiration is Chateau Sonoma. You made me realize it has been a while, so now will have to take a little detour on our way to Sonoma this weekend. Did you buy anything?
Chateau Sonoma is probably my favorite all time shop and yes I did leave with a little something... a small vintage bowling pin :)
Have fun this weekend!!
WOW! I love learning about shops like this one! Amazingly creative displays and wonderful merchandise! Now if only I could get out there.........thanks for the tour!!
OK - this is most definitely my favorite so far!! You had me at that first fabulous shot!
There are not many shops that I love as much as mine, but this is one of them. I stop every time I go up there. Sarah's business card even inspired mine 6 years ago! Nice post!
Beautiful photo's Terri.
What a fun place! Could spend hours there.
I am a bit annoyed, I was four days in Paris and didn't have time to visit any antique shops. Have to go there for the weekend before the September fairs, so I have time to visit les marchés aux Puces in Clignancourt and Porte de Vanves
Wholly cow that place looks like quite the treasure trove! Shame I live so far away from it!
Just found your blog, so glad I did.
I love Chateau Sonoma, haven't been there for a while, looks as though they've really filled it up since last time I was there... do think a field trip is in order for inspiration!
Beautiful photos (and inspiration).
that glorious shop alone merits a trip to sonoma! as a shop owner i adore seeing how other shops vignette and the merchandise they carry. this one was a real treat, as are your photoraphs
