What can you get for $9.99

At Goodwill?

A plethora of candles, that's what!

After seeing Kathysue's home the other day she took me to several Goodwill stores in her neighborhood.

(These ribbed tapers from Dansk are super long and elegant)

We hit the jackpot at one of them where someone had just dumped a boat load of gorgeous candles!

Even between the two of us (both candle lovers) we did not buy all of them!

(Kathysue uses these as birthday candles)

We left some for you:)

When it comes to treasure hunting it's all about timing!!

You my dear have all the fun. I love Dansk candles. Honestly, Dansk anything. I have their candle holder that hold about 8 of those long skinny tapers. So hard to find the candles anymore. Terri you have yourself a good weekend and may it be filled with loads of treasures.

We did make a good haul, didn't we?!! I will be using mine this weekend. Off to go and set the table. I went to the other two places we missed and brought home 4 silver iced tea spoons and a book by Bobby Brown Living Beautifully. A book I wanted and had not purchased yet, Score. Now I have the fever!! I want to go thrifting again, but alas, laundry and grocery shopping awaits me!! KS

Why is it that everyone finds great stuff at their Goodwill, but mine isn't so good?! One can never have too many candles....

First, I'm so jealous you got to meet the wonderful Kathysue...I look forward to the day I meet her in person (you too!) And, those long orange candles...you bought them for me, right? Great finds!

I love black candles, an influence of Sister Parish, and can usually find them on sale after Halloween.
