It's quite fabulous. It's right up my alley with all the neutrals, relaxing and sophisticated - love it all! Couldn't even pick a favorite. If I had a vacation cabin or cottage, I'd love to have those 4 built in bunk beds.
When may I move in please!! I just saw this over on Marcus Design blog and fell in love with the black and white and the pop of natural green. Love it!!!Kathysue
Oh my gosh. I am moving in today. I love so many features of this house I can't stand it!!! Is it all one house or different houses by the same design team?Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Did I mention I love it? Going to track down a web site. Thank you!!!
Oh Terri - too funny!! Ever since I saw her spectacular house in Elle Decor I was obsessed and considered doing a post on her designs as well (in fact I considered adding the house to my post today on chalet chic). Thrilled that you've done the work so I can enjoy her absolutely beautiful designs!!
I saw this house in the magazine and fell in to love with every single aspect! Such a lovely home! My favorite aspect is the room with lots of bunkbeds...it is a look that I first noticed 20 years ago in a ski home and have never forgotten it since.
Gorgeous! This house had me at the door! I love the sailing ship room. I love all the rooms. Gorgeous designs...so subtle and it still makes such a strong statement. Love it!
Yes, yes, yes....I flipped over their Sun Valley, Idaho house on the cover of Elle Decor. Loved everything about it and am so happy to see more of their work. I'm saving their whole spread for a future project I hope to get to!
And what inspiration that was. WoW! Would you believe the one thing I would love to incorporate would be the wall of built in beds. That is one of my dreams. That and to have them filled with grandchildren one day! Truly fabulous architecture and design and two big thumbs up to this mother/daughter design duo. Wishing you a fun filled Wednesday my friend xo xo
When my house grows up, I want it to look exactly like that! Perfect! I saw it in Elle Decor and flipped out then. Thanks for sharing. Let's put something on the calendar. I'm stressing with getting Alex back to LMU and a new apartment right now, but after.....?
I love this because I've always dreamt of living in a renovated barn and that's just what this reminds me of....albeit it a very, very, VERY nicely renovated barn : ) !! xx Suzanne
I am a passionate treasure huntress addicted to "the thrill of the hunt." I pride myself on finding unique items and have spent a lifetime collecting unusual and interesting "treasures" which I have used in decorating our home. I shop with an eye for design and look for pieces that I like to call the "jewelry" of the room. Those pieces that have been around accumulating energy thereby bringing life into a space by telling its story or evoking a memory. The allure is found in the details of its journey... condition, provenance and patina. Our collected "treasures" tell the story of who we are. Billy Baldwin said it best, "Decorating is never successful unless it is personal." My treasures are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop and on my companion blog, Shop La Dolfina. The links can be accessed from my sidebar.
"All of life is about energy. It's about the energy that you're putting out; energy that you're drawing to yourself, every day, based on the way you think about your life & the actions that you take. Everybody is an energy field. And because of your attitude, your thinking, your actions; who you choose to be in the world, forms your own field. You are drawing into your field people who are like you... to remind you, to show you, to reflect back to you- who you are. Believe that or not, that is what is happening all the time... and it does not require your belief. It just is. It. Just. Is." -Oprah
