Crystal Blue Winter Wonderland

Designer Michelle Nussbaumer invents a dreamy dessert party in Ceylon et Cie, her Dallas Shop

Ice blue Petits Fours rest on coral with Venetian champagne flute, blue celestite and blue coral.

Rare Zuber winter wallpaper panels of icebergs set the stage for vintage cake stands filled with White Chocolate Coral Cupcakes and Clamshell Cookies.

Nussbaumer's line, Ceylon Portfolio, includes Chippendale side chairs, Chinese-style table and rock crystal candlesticks and bowls.

Vintage Spanish ceramic garden seats and Beaux Arts artists' model plaster statues.

All desserts by Dallas Affaires Cake Company.

Satin spar, coral and glass accessories.

Silver bowl brimming with ivory and coral and Swedish 19th-c chest.

This has always been one of my favorite issues of Veranda and has inspired me over the years to incorporate several of the ideas presented here such as the bone lobster crawling over the coral that I have in my Dining Room.

I also love the way she transformed the chinese root table by painting it white.  I have one I picked up at the Alameda Pointe several years ago in my Living Room that I have yet to paint.

This is most definitely my ultimate fantasy party!
What's yours?

Terri this is gorgeous beyond words. The desserts are amazing. My dream party would be to have someone come in, clean, cater and clean-up while I enjoyed decorating and all my guest, now that would be a dream!! Kathysue

I would say this would qualify or a dream party! Can you believe I have never been to Michelle's shop in Dallas. I AM GOING in March when I go to visit! :)

In general, my ideal party has cupcakes, champagne, a ceiling full of beautiful balloons, lots of candles, amazing music and all the people I love in one room! Some day! :)

Oh how fabulous!! I can see why this is one of your favorite issues. Champagne is my go to drink, blue is my favorite color, and I've always wanted to do a white Christmas at home - so what's not to like!! Not to mention all the fabulous textures. I'm hoping to be featuring a house with Zuber paper sometime in the next couple of weeks - love it!!
