Holiday Inspiration

Well, it was a wonderful Thanksgiving full of togetherness, great food & good times... and when it was all over I went to put a load of laundry on and accidentally ran my new iphone 4 through the wash!

In the meantime, while I wait for it to completely dry out, I thought I'd post some Christmas decorating ideas that I've saved over the years which have inspired me in decorating our home which I've been doing since Black Friday... and oh my, what a mess I'm in at the moment!!

These images are from Christmas Ideas 2003.
This gorgeous spread has provided me with the main design theme in my Christmas decor.

Hopefully I'll be back in business with my iphone/camera in a few days and will be able to show you how I've translated it into our Holiday Home!

So glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving and so sorry to hear about your phone. Hope it survives the drowning!

So pretty, I bet your home looks so beautiful for the holidays. I am really liking the ornaments tied together with ribbon! I may try that in place of garland for one area :)

Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving though!

Hope the new iPhone recovers! Love the pinecone tied to the chair backs. We tie decorations with everyone's name on them to the kitchen chair backs for nearly all holidays, or just because!

Looks like
a wonderful time
was had by all.
Thanks for the
lovely decorating
ideas. I keep
a stack of Christmas
mags old and new.
I see something
different every year,
even though they
are the same issues.
Happy Tuesday!

Great use of all the different pine cones... love them in the bowl of ice, between the plates and as a swag. I have the small hemlock and huge sugar pine cones and will use them accordingly. Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh, I am sorry about the phone. Mine recently recovered after taking a swim in a sippy cup, so there is hope!!

Hope the phone recovers. Sounds like something I would do!

I saw on TV that you should stick your phone into a bowl of dry rice. The rice will leach the moisture from the phone. Good luck. Ann
