I recently attended this estate sale in my neighborhood.
It was so cool!
I didn't buy anything but I loved just seeing the way it was decorated.
I was so curious about the people who had lived here, in this relatively ordinary master planned community.
I think they had a lot of cocktail parties and played Frank Sinatra!
I must admit, I wanted these creations bad!
I was told they were commissioned by a well known artist back in the 1970's.
I was ready to pounce until I heard the prices.
$350 for the small one and $500 for the large one.
I guess they weren't meant to be mine.
as his owner works the sale.
This home sits on one of the many lagoons that wind through our neighborhood.
I thought it was brilliant how they mirrored a part of the fence to maximize their view of the lagoon and their small yard!
Hope you enjoyed the tour as much as I did!

WOW! This reminds
me of a sale I attended
this summer....Same sort
of thing...ordinary on
the outside, but totally
Frank Sinatra on the
inside! What tales that
house could have told!
Great pics, Terri!

PS: My daughter told
me that for her 16th
b-day she wants to take
you up on your offer
re: Pixar. Are you
sure you're up for US???
Fascinating tour! I can practically hear the Sinatra playing while I took the virtual tour!!!
Swoon!! I want it all - even the Maltese. That mirrored sideboard is fabulous. I have never been to a sale where I had to wear booties.
What a fabulous tour!! I really want the chandeliers -- so glad that you had your camera on you!
i love everything about this place and all the wonderful things you found!
You made me chuckle girl!
The room does look like some parties with cocktails and Frank Sinatra, maybe even some crazy things we will never know LOL!!
I do know a few years back the shabby euro chic-ers would have snaged up the lighting!
They sure did love mirrors :)
Have a great week!

I can just imagine those cocktail parties; Dry Martinis and Strangers In The Night...
Wow! There are some really amazing pieces here. And I can hear the Rat Pack in the background :) The mirrored fence is an amazing idea, but being the practical Polly that I am, all I can think of is rocks or branches being kicked up by the wind LOL. Kat
The mirrored fence is a great idea. I liked the sideboard too and the tole hydrangea wall lamp is pretty fun.
Fabulous stuff, you have willpower.
