Ghost Nest is the brain child of San Francisco based artist and design addict Reid Evans. His company aims to put the power of design back in the hands of the customer by enabling them to create personalized products for the home.
Express your personality by embedding your own image inside a knob!
Blogger Benita of Chez Larsson created this coat rack for her son Willie's room using her own images.
Blair of Wild & Precious used some scrap wood flooring and bead board she had left over in the shed to make her customized rack which gave her a cool new place to "hang" in the laundry room.
When it came to my turn, I chose a set of 12 La Dolfina's facing each other.
I haven't decided yet on how to use my set of La Dolfina knobs and Reid is always looking for new and inspired ways of using his personalized products so together we are sponsoring a contest and a giveaway!
To help get your creative juices flowing here is an idea I came up with while brainstorming one day with Reid.
Instead of taking polaroids to identify which shoes are in which box, having it's image embedded in a knob which is attached to the box would not only be aesthetically pleasing but would be helpful in pulling it out of the stack.

hoping you have a blessed and fantastic weekend my love. miss you. xoxo
Your dolphin knobs are the best! I think they would be cool on a file cabinet with a symbol or photo of what was organized in each drawer!
Hi Terri
Thanks for asking me over to have a look at this.
My son needs a new desk for his room which is soon to be redocated. I think these knobs would be great on a boys desk. The room is for a teenage boy and will have quite an 'adventurer/pioneer' feel to it. My idea for the knobs is to use them on the drawers of a large old wooden desk, and to use cut-outs from maps. If I use maps of rural areas I'll have a lot of greens, browns, greys and the occasional blue river line. If I was looking for a more silver, grey, blue palette of colours I could cut out from street maps.
Voila! Hope you like my idea
Sharon

Sorry about the spelling mistake above, 'redocated' should read 'redecorated'!

Theresa & Sharon, I love both of your ideas!!
Thanks so much for contributing. It's really all about what imagery you embed in the knob and where it will be used.
What a brilliant idea for personalizing your home. I quite like the idea for kitchen cabinets. Something entirely out of the box. So many options and ideas! Truly a fun idea.
Happy sunny Sunday to you Terri ( :

I love your dolphin knobs and these knobs are such a wonderful idea for personalizing!
Love the Your dolphin knobs Ms."T"
You could do so many things with them!
I have a bit of a knob thing, always looking for great new ones!!
How about white back grounds with black numbers in them. Like French No.1 or 2. 3. 4.
xoxo
Dore
Love that Dore!!!
There's nothing like french script numbers!
I would love to see what the likes of your creative genius could do with them :)
Thanks for contributing!!!
You're the best!!!

Such a cool idea!!! I LOVE unique stuff like this! I'll have to think about how i'd want to use them and get back to you!!
Thanks Angie, I know you of anyone will come up with something fun :)
xx
What a fab idea..MY kitchen cupboards are screaming out for french inspired knobs, like music notes or script numbers..Thanks for the chance..xx
These are so cool I love them. Boy, so many places could use them. Hooks for coats for all the family members with their own pic on them. A spot for the dogs leash with his sweet face. Or how about knobs for all the bifold closet doors I have and put random French words. No one in my house nor my friends speak French so I could make up the meanings. Because French words just look prettier! I know, I know I'm tired so just rambling.
Hope you are enjoying your Fall weather, its sounds lovely to me!
XOXO Meg
How cooool!

Ok, I've been thinking about this all weekend. Personally, I'd love a coat rack like you pictured so that I can have a knob for all my family members but what I also thought would be cute... a toddler's dresser with these as the knobs and and the pictures would be of that toddler's family. They could practice saying momma and dadda with them ;-) Can't wait to see what everyone else thinks of!!
Thanks for chiming in, love your ideas! You're the best my friend!!
I have so many neclaces that I would arrange them on numbered knobs by type and color. I have now 12 hooks for my neclaces and bracelets, but they are not enough even if I place my treasures on top of each other!
Love your knobs! I have my husband's dresser from his childhood and was thinking about painting it for a child's room. Since we have had our first foster child this week, it has made me really think about getting rooms ready for future kids. So, some fun knobs (I like Lumo's idea for numbers) for a white dresser.
I would like some knobs for my grandbabies artwork. I would put their names on them and hang their special artwork that is framed in black frames in the playroom. Another idea would be a board with knobs that had words that started with "P" all lined up line checkerboard pieces. Play, Pretend,Party,Pleasant,Politeness,Pretty,Profound,Possibilities,Pray, I would use P words since that is what our last name starts with!! Kathysue
Love all your ideas Kathysue, I knew I could count on you to come up with some great ones. Thanks friend!

These knobs are brilliant.
Me well probably vintage images of shells or a compass rose. If I ever get a studio these would be great to have to label where supplies are with photos of ribbon, fabric, spoons, etc.
What a fun idea!!!
I would love to see
these knobs with
vintage letterpress
images...bees, crowns,
birds, nests, scissors, etc.
I have been scouring
flea markets for old
tool chests or card
catalogs and I think
knobs like these on
a chest of this sort
would be wonderful!

I would like knobs with pictures of my chocolate labs (2) to hold their leashes, invisible fence collars, and harnesses that I use sometimes. I have two houses, so I need a double set. Thanks Ann
fab giveaway, but I do not have new ideas... your shoe box idea is my favorite! :)

Wonderful giveaway! I would love those knobs to organize my studio! Sign me up!
Just found your blog and love getting acquainted.
Since you love treasure hunting up and down the coast, have you found Taylor William in SLO? A wonderful shop with all kinds of treasures that always seem to follow me home whenever I'm up there. :)
I have just discovered your nice blog via of vignette design.
My ideas are:
1)for the round more formal knob I would use them as an integral part of a curtain tie backs. I would use illustrations of my favorite trees as the insert. I would use a solid curtain panel for this application. 2)Using a ledger board and for the insert either a nice festive plaid or red and white gingham. These round knobs would be attractive for the use of hanging Christmas stocking.
I like the edge detailing on the square knobs.
I would remove the silver backing screw then I would use either of the following images as the inserts - flowers, bugs and butterflies or good quality family images. I would use eight to twelve of these places casually in a low sided tray or place them in a small clear glass bowl.
I would invite my guest young or old to look through the artful knobs. A child could occupy themselves with the flower, bug and butterfly knobs while you have a chance to catch up with their parent(s). A teen age relative may enjoy looking at the family knob images - perhaps even fostering some interesting questions about family outings or history.
Thanks for the consideration.

What a lovely and unique giveaway!
I am not the most romantic girl on the planet (although I have my days!) but the bedroom of my girls (8 and 6) is both girlie and sweet.
Between their beds is a light gray chest with plenty of drawers for both girls.
If I became a happy onwer of a set, I would chose a pretty, romantic wall paper or fabric as the insert. (Maybe even a fabric from one of their old dresses!).
Crossing my fingers and toes!

I would put two knobs in each bathroom for hooks. I have a lot of bathrooms in two houses. I would design something with our name on it. Or, I can change the knobs on the vanity in my sea glass colored fresco plastered type of bathroom. It is one of my favorite rooms in the whole world. I picked the color After I bought the towels, so they would match. I live in a colonial house, so the rooms are not really spacious like modern houses, so color is my best friend. Ann
