Where do you find your shells?

It's been well over a year since we finished the re-model of our master bedroom and bathroom.

The last thing on the list was to put up a custom pieced vanity mirror.  When the bid came in at over $700 I had had it with spending what seemed to be an endless amount of money and I just said, "forget it, I'll find someone else."

Well that was over a year ago and we've been using our master bath sans mirror to wash our face and brush our teeth.  We use the powder room to blow dry our hair and I have a vanity to put on my make-up.

Not any more, thanks to my local Marshalls Store.
The other day while dorm shopping with my son, I spied a perfect stand in!

It's only temporary, but I love it!

What have you found at Marshalls lately?

Marshalls!!??

It looks so classy Terri - big mirrors are looking too 'obvious', why not keep this? It is so refined!

I have not found much at my local Marshalls...much to my great sadness. But I have found a lady in Tampa who makes beautiful shell mirrors and her prices have been surprisingly fair.

But for an interim piece, this mirror is quite nice. I love your bathroom...I am normally not a lover of brown, but this looks so beautiful and rich.

I can't believe you found that at Marshall's. I'm going there tomorrow! I think it should permanently be in your bathroom. It looks wonderful in there!

I find mine in Sanibel and along the Carolina and Georgia coastline, but I think I'll start shelling at Marshall's, too. Beautiful!

Gorgeous mirror, I'd keep it as well. I have shells in glass jars around my house that we've mostly picked up on our travels. Some my mother finds at estate sales etc.
I don't have a mirror over my vanity in my master either! It was such a great view, we put a window there instead. I also get ready at a vanity, where I can sit down so I prefer it anyway.

This is so something I'd do....get fed up and revisit a year later. In fact, I've spent the last hour trying to track down discontinued hinges b/c I ran out about a year ago when changing from brass to petwer and am trying to finish one last section of the house only to find out they've been discontinued. Anyway, I digress. LOVE this find....It looks great in your fabulous bathroom!

Glad to see that I'm not
the only slow mover when
it comes to finishing touches!
My last great Marshall's find
was a vintage-y, shabby-chic
looking thermos painted with
old roses, which I've seen in
a lot of magazine shoots....
on clearance for $5! I'm
looking forward to visiting
a teacher friend of mine with
lunch once school starts and
I'll fill it with a lovely
tea or coffee. It's always
a pulse-racer for me when
I'm in HG, TJM or Marshalls!
Happy Weekend, sweet friend!
xx Suzanne

Did not even look at anything else...what a fantastic find!

If this makes you feel any better, I have wiring in 2 different places along with a cap where a chandelier is suppose to go...both over 2 years now!!!

I go through the fashion racks at Marshalls too, and just recently bought two blouses which I both love, well they're the same, one in white the other in navy. Absolutely cool find!!

I love it (and would keep it there) and I can't believe the things you find! I haven't been to Marshalls in long time but I did get a Calvin Klein sheet set at T.J. Maxx recently and some other smaller items. I was really surprised to see what great items they had, I had to leave before I spent too much! I need to go to Home Goods, haven't been there in a couple years...

I'm in love with that beautiful marble floor. Forgive me if you've answered this question a zillion times but where did you get your bath rugs?

Nothing like that, that is for certain.
You have to have come across a fab mirror during one of your treasure hunting trips and just don't know it yet.
