Recently when Napa Valley vintner Perry Butler counted his wife, Carolyn's, pairs of shoes, he stopped at 500. Obviously, she had a passion for more than making fine wine. He thought, "Why not combine both passions, which involve high style and world travel?" While Perry is tasting wines for his label, Juslyn Vineyards, in London, Milan, New York and Paris, Carolyn could meet with designers on the Left Bank or its equivalent. And so, Footcandy was born. The elegant shoe shop now sits squarely in the heart of Napa Valley wine country, in the quaint village of St. Helena. Despite its country locale, the tone is decidely upscale and international.
Carolyn's buying philosophy,
"I am the consumer, I sell to myself"

"I am the consumer, I sell to myself"

Footcandy opened a second store in Walnut Creek down the street from Filthy Gorgeous and right next store to one of my favorite consignment clothing stores, Labels, which I will do a post on in the near future. I was inspired to do a post on shoes after reading my good friend Rita of Beach House Living's fabulous post on hats!

You have NO idea how much I'm drooling right now!!!
Oh my, Footcandy is right! I am looking at my shoes now...and shaking my head. Those are gorgeous!!
A little overindulgent for the economic times. But I guess the rich always have money to spend.
shoes AND wine? that's rough! : )
Mustn't look....mustn't loooook...
This is too funny and "Foot Candy" is such a fun and appropriate name. A few months back I took photos of many but not all of my shoes and boots. Thinking I would do a post...maybe one pair looks as pretty as these.
Thanks for the sweet mention. Your a doll!
I could go broke in that store. WOW! beautiful
my favorite is the sling back tan and black spectator. All time classic. They are all so

Beautiful, although most of those heels would be ways too high for me. My favorite is the raffia Kate Spade shoe.
Ooh, I feel a little faint! Those shoes went straight to my head.
Here in Mommytown, I don't have a huge call for fab heels but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate fine art when I see it.
Hmmmm...I'm wondering which of these YOU bought for you own little tootsies, Mrs. La D? Great idea for seeing the world and outfitting feet back home in California and fun name for the store, as well! xx Suzanne
Looks like a fun place! xo
Now you know I'm a huge shoe fanatic! I must wipe of my desk from the drool...thanks for the "eye candy" over the "foot candy!"
Looks like this lady found her true calling......I am picky, picky when it comes to shoes and here was one after another that I would buy, in fact didn't see one I didn't like, maybe she can ship to me in Canada? Now that was fun! Much love XO
If only I could wear heels! Looks delicious. Just another reason why I'm dying to go back to Napa.
I love shoes, I think I'm a shoe-aholic :D
Xoxo
