Awww...he's lovely, and you're so right about time flying! Loved this post and the one about your mum too. And as I write this I notice you've notched up 200 followers...that's awesome and so deserved! x
Your son is quite a handsome fella. My little ones are 1 and 4...already I feel like it's going too fast. Happy Mother's Day to a wonderful woman...and a mother who makes her son smile...both photos show happiness...great job!
Yeah, just like that...one minute they're babies and the next, you're getting teary-eyed over the handprint card they made for you in kindergarten - 12 years ago!
Happy Mother's Day and congrats on your beautiful boy. :)
Terri, I know exactly what you mean.... and I loved the comment that you left at P&H today. I also still look forward to their feet hitting the floor each morning and seeing their sleepy faces. And I always will. It is great as the relationship slowly evolves from parent child to friends, as it has done with us and our moms. I'm looking forward that, despite being sad at seeing them fly away. 'Lots of love to you and your family and your {very!} handsome son, today! xx Suzanne
Beautiful photos of your gorgeous son! And beautiful sentiment and so true! Have a very happy Mother's Day! I have a nearly 18 year old, a 22 year old and a 7 year old and I know, it goes in the blink of an eye! best wishes Frances
oh my gosh, you made me all verklempt! i know just from having my son turn 9 next week that this is just around the corner from me. It goes by so fast, right?
Oooh Therese!!! My Lil' Man is leaving for 6th grade science camp today for an entire week. I can't even tell you how many times I cried yesterday because he's growing up to fast!!
I am a passionate treasure huntress addicted to "the thrill of the hunt." I pride myself on finding unique items and have spent a lifetime collecting unusual and interesting "treasures" which I have used in decorating our home. I shop with an eye for design and look for pieces that I like to call the "jewelry" of the room. Those pieces that have been around accumulating energy thereby bringing life into a space by telling its story or evoking a memory. The allure is found in the details of its journey... condition, provenance and patina. Our collected "treasures" tell the story of who we are. Billy Baldwin said it best, "Decorating is never successful unless it is personal." My treasures are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop and on my companion blog, Shop La Dolfina. The links can be accessed from my sidebar.
"All of life is about energy. It's about the energy that you're putting out; energy that you're drawing to yourself, every day, based on the way you think about your life & the actions that you take. Everybody is an energy field. And because of your attitude, your thinking, your actions; who you choose to be in the world, forms your own field. You are drawing into your field people who are like you... to remind you, to show you, to reflect back to you- who you are. Believe that or not, that is what is happening all the time... and it does not require your belief. It just is. It. Just. Is." -Oprah
