Love the harp! I've bought them before...so pretty...and the dome is very cool. I went to the SF paper show and bought postcards...sifted through 100's...not fun, but interesting. I give them to my customers w/ purchases so it's kind of fun. Nap time!
Just as I was scrolling through and thinking 'Well isn't this fun to just look and not buy...from afar'...when I saw the things you chose and almost fell out of my chair. No more armchair shopping for me. Lucky, lucky you. I love your treasures. Catherine
Terri, My neighbor had a harpsicord just like that one when I was a little girl and she use to play it and we would sing along. Love that. I really love the dome and the shoe bows, pretty cool. No treasures here still working on my project and it is coming right along but not with out blood ,sweat and tears, Kathysue
I went to three estate sales yesterday as well! I had luck at the first one only. I am in LOVE with that first purchase of yours. Is that a harpsichord? It's stunning! And the parasol too! That view from the house is so picturesque. You are lucky to live where you do!
Oh what fun. I totally approve of all your buys. Here in France we don't have this sort of sale in the house, I wonder what the atmosphere is like? Sharon
love finding treasure... i found a load of it last week... will be posting over the next few weeks... love the parasol... and those buried chairs.. xx pam
Wow, the harp! I'm sure if that was a sale that my son and I would have been at, my son would have jumped at that! How cool! What a sale wish I could have been there!
I'm doing my 1st ever giveaway, please come and check it out!
Love the parasol you found! Also, the bathroom is great, however I'd splash Benjamin Moore's Bunny Gray above the tile for a very chic, present day look. I can't wait to hit some estate sales in the Hamptons this summer! I'll keep you posted on my future treasures. Have a great week.
I am a passionate treasure huntress addicted to "the thrill of the hunt." I pride myself on finding unique items and have spent a lifetime collecting unusual and interesting "treasures" which I have used in decorating our home. I shop with an eye for design and look for pieces that I like to call the "jewelry" of the room. Those pieces that have been around accumulating energy thereby bringing life into a space by telling its story or evoking a memory. The allure is found in the details of its journey... condition, provenance and patina. Our collected "treasures" tell the story of who we are. Billy Baldwin said it best, "Decorating is never successful unless it is personal." My treasures are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop and on my companion blog, Shop La Dolfina. The links can be accessed from my sidebar.
"All of life is about energy. It's about the energy that you're putting out; energy that you're drawing to yourself, every day, based on the way you think about your life & the actions that you take. Everybody is an energy field. And because of your attitude, your thinking, your actions; who you choose to be in the world, forms your own field. You are drawing into your field people who are like you... to remind you, to show you, to reflect back to you- who you are. Believe that or not, that is what is happening all the time... and it does not require your belief. It just is. It. Just. Is." -Oprah
