I would love to sleep in a bunk bed again...
if just for one night.
I can just imagine the conversations that would take place in these rooms!
Summer memories are made here

Love this post! Beautiful images. Always wanted a bunk bed as a kid! The twin beds would be perfect for a BFF get-away at any age!
Some of those rooms are wonderful.
These are all so adorable and inspiring...BUT....I couldn't give up my KING sized bed!!! I did share a bunk with my little brother until I was in the first grade...I got TOP billing, which was fun...and made sure MY son had bunk beds, too! Now he's a big guy and has a cool PLATFORM bed from IKEA. Kind of miss those TWIN days! xx P&H
so adorable. i love them all....
I love these images...what a great post! I never had bunk beds (except at camp) but always wanted them, along with a canopy bed (which I never got)! By the way, thanks for added me to your blog roll, I've added you, too! Beth
That top photo is one of my all-time faves. Great round-up!

P.S. If you need a photo resource for bedrooms, try my other blog (currently on hiatus) "The Daily Bed."
Terri, seeing twin beds made me think of spending the night at my girlfriends for a sleep over, where of course we did not sleep very much but talked all night. Great post, sweetie, Kathysue
Absolutely wonderful post. There is something magicial about all of those photos...it must be the twin bed!
what a great post! I used to love our bunk beds at our family cottage - although being the youngest, I always had to sleep in the bottom one - bummer. : )
Thank you for posting the first picture! It is one of my alltime favorite spaces! Gorgeous post my dear! xoxo
I love this post!!!! I adore the look of twin beds and have collected so many images but yours are just tops!! I have been trying to convince my husband for years to get ourselves twin beds a la Lucy and Ricky but he just won't bite!
I will have to live vicariously through your post!
that orange background toile wallpaper is so awesome. love the beds in there...
Lovely images. I still sleep in single bed time to time, we have the whole upstairs to ourselves when we visit my in laws, but they have only single beds upstairs. Lovely oldbeds inherited and bought from auctions.
Even though they are a bit short and narrow, I sleep very peacefully there.
I used to love sleeping in a single bed as a child. Especially on holidays - it would make me want to stay up chatting all night. Such fun!
So many of these images are stored up in my files as well, there is something so endearing and compelling about these sweet cozy nooks. Loved this.
oh man! what a post! you know my favourite is the one with the canopy over the both of them like it's a king bed w/ the starburst. i saw the pink one by Cathy Kincaid in person a few years ago (the one you had w/ pink patterned walls & monogrammed pillows) and she is amazing.
Those are some great photos!! The first one is adorable with all the little girls! The last one is one I had in my inspiration folder for my daughter forever! That is until she decided to grow up. Darn her! 9 going on "I don't like girly" ;)
Makes me wish I had a sister growing up. Enjoyed my first visit to your gorgeous blog!
How beautiful. I sure wish my room looked like that. Maybe if I ever have girls...
I just saw a great bunk bed very similar to the second image, in that Furniture store on Park in Alameda. It is periwinkle blue with the same exact look. My fave is the one that goes to the ceiling and has drawers. There was a great house on the market recently in Alameda with beds facing opposite, with great picture windows all around. So light and airy. Awesome.
Oh my word...I just had to come back and comment about your house!!! I was up till almost 1AM looking through your "Rate My Space" photos! You have done such an AMAZING job decorating your house! The way that you have pulled all kinds of finds (hi & lo) together to look so great is INCREDIBLE!!! I am so in awe! Please come do this to my house! Geez, when I see homes pulled together like this, it makes me cringe that I even posted my frightening little attempts to decorating my house! How do you do it? You definitely have an "eye!" Anyway, I love everything I've seen so far! You're sons room...GORGEOUS and so boy appropriate while still remaining mature and sophisticated! And your office...with the mirrored shelf??? How do you keep that clean??? You must have help? O.K., I've written a novel but just wanted to let you know how fantastic a decorator I think you are! (That's a terrible sentence, but you get the gist!) As soon as I finish browsing your home I will sign up & rate your space for sure!!!! :)Beth
great roundup. love that last one and the pink and orange toile one....
You're so right about the conversations that must go on in some of those beautiful rooms. I can hear muted laughter and giggles just looking...
So adorable, I love the way the two beds look side by side.
So sweet, reminds me of when my daughter was young, Mombasa netting and all, girlfriends everywhere. Now, that tufted hot pink bed? That's for ME.
Love these all. I just love twin beds too. Great bunch of images! I'm going back through them.
Wow Love your house! What a great eye and great shopper! We both hit the same haunts. You are great with accessories. All the nautical inspiration made me miss the Bay Area. :)
So many beautiful photos!! I never had a bunk bed but they look so fun!!
These are so darling - I love the ship-like bunk beds with net. So cute!
I love this post! I can too imagine the conversations, reminds me of my sister and I being little again ans talking about boys, brishing each others hair and sitting in our PJ's. :-))
I love all these rooms , they are very inspiring . I had a crash for the pink tufted bed, it looks fantastic
These rooms are wonderful! I remember the excitement of sleeping in bunk beds when I was little. So much fun!
agree Agree AGREE! And this is very seriously the best round up out there! Love it! Just don't make me pick my fave. Love the bunk beds but I'm particularly smitten by the drapey gauzey canopies. LOVE!
Have a great weekend!
As a child I never really liked bunk beds, but these have a very romantic (and stylish) feel to them. Actually, all the pictures are beautiful.
OMG! I just got it! I love your title! and I just got the little play on words! :)
Lovely images! I like the idea of twin beds, there's something so sweetly old-fashioned about them.
The room "Summer memories are made here" reminds me of the room I shared with a girl friend during our ski holidays in Zermatt -winter memories!!
bunk beds were SO much fun =)
ans those are beautifully designed!
I have 3 little girls in one room with single matching beds but would be ashamed to post pictures! When I tell them to clean their room they shove whatever they can find under the beds, maybe the hubby could build the floor to ceiling bunk beds! That would solve the missing clothes problem.
Wow wow wow! I am soooo going to sell our double bed and buy two singles! My husband might not be too happy, but atleast our house will look pretty :)
