Yesterday my son and I were in the beautiful town of Danville/Alamo where my brother and his family live. We drove out to borrow his tuxedo for my son Chris's Prom tonight. On our way home I saw this wonderful looking shop and pulled over pleading with my son that I needed to go inside to take pictures for my blog! He wasn't happy about it and followed me around breathing down my neck and pressuring me to hurry as I snapped away frantically trying to capture all the deliciousness I could.
The following eye candy is for your weekend viewing pleasure... enjoy!
Isn't this a fabulous idea?
The heart is made from a galvanized strap from an old wine barrel.
I caught him in the reflection giving me the evil eye!
Sweet Magnolia is located at 404 Hartz Avenue in Danville. You can also visit their website at www.sweetmagnoliahome.com

The numbers dresser is pretty neat. Three dozen photos no wonder your son gave out the evil eye. No photos for your shop???
Hope he has fun at the prom.

I am in love with that tufted bench/table!
Terri, I love this store and garden seed, Robin is a kick and what a character with so much talent. Talk about eye candy. I think Christopher is the best eye candy of all. He looks so handsome and grown-up, I remember prom night with all my boys, it is a big deal!! have fun Mr. Christopher, he is soooo handsome. Don't you love that little house that their shop is in. I love the front porch, so charming. Loved all the pictures they are really good photos, xo Kathysue

PROM?! I thought a 9 year old birthday party with 12 little girls at our house on a Friday night was a big deal! This is very exciting. And he looks totally dashing. I'm sure he had a wonderful time :)
Love the peek at your shopping excursion. And I particularly love the mirrored-top table. I always say I'm not much of a mirrored furniture girl but then I see something like this and I totally change my mind...
Hope you've had a great weekend so far!

So many treasures at this shop especially the numbered chest. Your son is very handsome!

Love the mirrored table! Enjoy a lovely Sunday.
What a great store! Cloches seem to be everywhere you go... Loved also that chest with numbered drawers.
What a beautiful store! And the picture of your son's reflection is a hoot. He does look very handsome in his tux, hope he had a wonderful time. Kathy
Aahhh... live with a teenage son.. I feel your pain. lol Can I just say I want EVERYTHING in that shop. If I ever owned a shop that is exactly what I would want it to be like. Your son was a good sport & was rockin' the tux! Have a fab weekend.
Your photos are great...almost as good as going shopping with you! Those heart and arrows are the coolest! I can see how a store like that would stop you in your tracks, eye ball rolling teen and all! (but awww, your patient son is adorable!) Prom...! I can only imagine how bitter sweet this will feel when we get there with my own children!
How special!
I love that you drove out there together to get the tux, and what a treat that you came across this gem of a store! How fabulous and so full of amazing things. I bet it was hard to rush through it!! You have to go back.
Your boy looks incredibly handsome. I hope he is going with a good girl.
I also spy a lovely home there, behind him..
xx Charlotta
Love the glass bottles! You story of your son moaning whilst waiting reminds me of my relationship with my mum when I was a teenager! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! x
okay, yet another cute shop! I am laughing about your son moaning and following you around, because this is what i do to both my sons and now i see that it doesn't stop when they get older? But let me say, what a handsome young man you have in his tux!!!
terri...what a lovely shop! (i would have trouble catching my breath in there for sure!)a handsome boy...with and without the smile! :) (have one of my own about the same age i think). regards,

DELICIOUS in every way, except that I'm not FULL and I want MORE!!!! I love that piece with the numbers painted on the drawers, especially. Your son is very handsome AND sweet too boot, to indulge his mom : ) I hope that the prom was very special and I'm SURE that you got a ton of great pictures. Happy Sunday! xx P&H
those hearts in a nursery....yes..
Girl, did you get the candle sconces in the 5th picture?? Please say you did!! They're gorgeous!
Wait. Was that picture of your son on there earlier ? How could have I missed him ? ( you do know my daughter will be 18 in 2 years... haha ). Yes ... Robin ! I haven't been to the shop in years. I do see her at the Alameda and she says the shop is totally different now ( very girly )
Lisa~ I love your daughter and definitely think the two of you should spend a Pointe weekend with us... you never know how things could go:)
Everyone~ Thank you so much for your kind comments and best wishes for Chris's prom... he just got home and reported that he had a grand time... I'm sure it was all your positive vibes and well wishes.
Savored every pic of that beauteous shop. Good thing your son needed that tux so you could find the shop too! He must remember that if mama ain't happy....no one is happy!
Hugs N Herbal Blessings, Mandy
