My partner in crime (my Mom) and I hit up an estate sale in her neighborhood this weekend.
It was a doozy!
Apparently the story goes like this...
The owner was a huge collector for many years with the intention of one day having a shop.
Well, as you can see, that never happened and she ended up with a whole lot of stuff!
(This is hitting close to home)
Anyway, she's a fairly young woman who has decided to go in a completely different direction with her life and is "selling the farm" so to speak.
I wish I knew more details but I was intrigued by her ability to completely change the direction of her life and let go of years of accumulation, just like that!
The home was adorable and in great shape. I think she was a decorator because everything was so "put together" and move in ready.
I also heard the house had already been sold. I don't even recall seeing a For Sale Sign go up.
I don't know about you but I'm always curious about the people whose estate sales I attend.
This one was inspiring...
I felt a sense of excitement for this woman!
Life is short...
and it's never too late to change your path.
Here is my Mom sitting down for a spell with Richelle who together with her partner, Noah, have been running "Something to Sell About" for as long as I can remember. In fact, I believe the first estate sale I ever attended was one of theirs.
As you can see, the home is truly lovely.
She had many amazing treasures...
but not a lot of bargains.
I actually got out of there with several rolls of leftover wallpaper for a total of $2.
Did you go to any interesting estate or garage sales over the weekend?
