Ladders in decor?

I don't know about you but lately I've become intrigued with old ladders.  Reichel over at Copy Cat Chic did a post today about ladders being used for display and found some great options.  Be sure and check out her blog.

I found this one a few months ago and have pressed it into service in our garage, the most popular space in our home since we turned it into a combination teen hangout, man cave, and home theatre!

It definitely comes in handy and does double duty as a charming magazine rack!
(This is the room where the pond yacht and shell type-tray are going to live just as soon as I get it cleaned up and photo ready!)

Love the idea of the ladder as a magazine rack -I could display all my Coastal Living Magazines (too)!!

And how much better to use them like that than to climb up them...and risk injury! Gorgeous photos.

Love the old wooden ladders -- they add so much charm to a room -- you can hang beautiful quilts, Indian blankets, art work , books,
You can use it open or closed --opened you can place a clear glass shelf on a few rungs and place art, dry flowers, knick knacks, collectibles like Shells limited only by the imagination. . .

As you can tell I love the idea..

Your ladder looks amazing, and doesn't set off every superstition nerve in my brain like the first image!

I like your ladder and it looks totally cool but I am way to superstitious to try the big open ladder as in the first image! Marija

I love the idea but I think I might be a little afraid to walk under it! Isn't that bad luck? I think I might keep mine out in the garage ;-)

Ooh, you're so lucky to have a designated man cave and it looks fabulous too! I have an old ladder sitting out in my garage and if I only had a wee bit of room inside I'd do it.
