Last weekend, the community of Piedmont, Ca. held their annual garage sale to raise money to supplement the cost to send a group of kids to Mexico to build 16 homes in a village near Tijuana.
The garage sale was held at The Piedmont Community Church.
Piedmont is located in the East Bay adjacent to Oakland.
It is one of the most beautiful communities in the Bay Area with stately homes nestled in the foothills of Oakland, many with breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay.
It was my first time at this annual event.
It was very well organized!
Housewares, sporting goods, knickknacks, books, and collectibles were in the main hall.
Next door was the jewelry, as well as purses, scarves and other misc. accessories.
Downstairs was furniture and art...
which is where I found a couple of things.
There's my Mom trying to negotiate a better price on a great item she found for my brother's upcoming 50th Birthday!!!
Here's what I found.
I couldn't pass up this classic table with it's amazing distressed/pickled finish. I thought it was a steal at $35!
I also picked up this Italian marble topped pedestal. A bargain at $25.
Then back upstairs to retrieve and pay for this sweet glass cloche number...
another bargain at just 5 bucks.
A quick peek inside the church before leaving.
My Mom and husband thanking God for Chris getting into UCLA!
After loading our stuff into the back of our trusty Volvo wagon we noticed there was another garage sale just down the street a ways...

It was hard to walk past this pair of french beauties, especially when I spied their price tags of $10 each! Needless to say, I scooped them right up!
The lady of the house said she was tired of them.
I told them to bid farewell to their Piedmont Estate... they were coming home to live with me in Alameda.
