Happy Valentines Day to you too~~~ I love your photos, they have me dreaming of summer and thinking about the days of being a kid - staying at the beach till 8pm as if the sun never went down.
Thanks for your sweet comment earlier! I haven't connected with Barbra yet. :-))
Hi Therese. Happy Valentine's Day to you! Love the beach photo. Have a cold, fog outside my window...amazing how a picture can transport you to "a happy place" ! Merci! Trish
these images could not of come at a better time, as we have been snowed in and without electricity for over 2 days now. (a record snowfall here for Dallas, and we lost oak trees. ☹ -i'm at the parentals with the kiddo's right now, just for a warm place to be!) Yes, summer time....ahhhh.....
mmm. yes summer. Thank you for the beautiful kind comments! And I actually DO know about the third image, if you're interested - it's a vintage photograph from Nina Leen. LOVE her photographs. Have a fantastic love-filled Valentines Day!!!
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. It sweetened up my day. You really do have a natural flair for finding the unusual and collectible items. Love your photo's too.
Happy Valentines Day to you too!! Sunnier days ahead are just around the corner~~ seaweed and bar b q's!!! Can't wait! Have fun and give Mom a HUG from ME!! XO
I like how your friend actually knows where the bathing beauty photo's came from! I will have to look up Nina Leen. It is an awesome photo. Must have been taken from a life-guards deck! Hope you had a great V-Day yesterday. Of all movies- the husband and I went and saw Werewolf, which actually had a romantic story-line. Benicio Del Torro. Yummy.. Like your paper lei's. I think a fun collection would be to collect items from voyages to exotic locations from yesteryear. Your paper lei's need a sexy Mandarin silk dress from WES! They would look good together! I'll be there Thursday. Donations still being accepted.
Happy belated Valentines! The shot with the 4 girls reminds me of college spring break and my 4 bff's. Ah - those were the days! Also reminds me that I need a beach vacation...and soon! love it
Oh My Goodness! This is amazing. Thanks for coming by my blog this morning and leaving a comment. I am definately adding you to my favorites. Love all the images esp. the flea markets. I grew up in CA, Torrance, and so miss all the great antiques and flea markets out there. We are a little starved up here for that kind of thing. Anyway your blog is just lovely. Have a wonderful day and best of luck! Hugs, Amada
I am a passionate treasure huntress addicted to "the thrill of the hunt." I pride myself on finding unique items and have spent a lifetime collecting unusual and interesting "treasures" which I have used in decorating our home. I shop with an eye for design and look for pieces that I like to call the "jewelry" of the room. Those pieces that have been around accumulating energy thereby bringing life into a space by telling its story or evoking a memory. The allure is found in the details of its journey... condition, provenance and patina. Our collected "treasures" tell the story of who we are. Billy Baldwin said it best, "Decorating is never successful unless it is personal." My treasures are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop and on my companion blog, Shop La Dolfina. The links can be accessed from my sidebar.
"All of life is about energy. It's about the energy that you're putting out; energy that you're drawing to yourself, every day, based on the way you think about your life & the actions that you take. Everybody is an energy field. And because of your attitude, your thinking, your actions; who you choose to be in the world, forms your own field. You are drawing into your field people who are like you... to remind you, to show you, to reflect back to you- who you are. Believe that or not, that is what is happening all the time... and it does not require your belief. It just is. It. Just. Is." -Oprah
