Souvenir

A friend of mine told me about a cute little shop by the name of "Souvenir" and suggested I check it out...

... so that's just what I did!

My Mom and I were greeted by the lovely Victoria...

...who beckoned us to come inside and explore.

Immediately our hearts began to beat a little faster!

We liked what we saw.

There was a fantastic selection of beautiful religious statues

and Santos figures.

There was something to delight in every nook and cranny!

It was visually stimulating to say the least.

My sweet Mom always finds a fleur de lys.

I'm sorry I didn't take a better photo but the felt clock face in the foreground is actually a french beret!  It's got Kellie from Cashon & Co.'s name all over it!

There were mannequins aplenty,

beautiful paintings,

old books & birdcages,

prize ribbons,

maps and travel posters,

and pastel colored seashell boxes!

There were gnomes and mushrooms under glass domes!

Before we knew it we had made our way back to the front of the shop and to the lovely Victoria.

I placed my souvenir on the counter...

and she wrapped it up and tied it with a bow!

When I returned home I found the perfect spot for it...
mixed in with my souvenirs from the sea.

I'd love to know which treasure you would choose as your souvenir?

Oh my goodness, you were right! I love it! It is so surreal and unique! What a cool shop. There is so much to look at here. I am lovin the eiffel tower on the Santos' head, the gnomes, the posters, the chinese chest. What a fun day, I can almost guarantee we don't have anything like this shop here in Dallas! Thanks for the tour & keeping me (Pepe - ha) in mind!

I love all the pictures you took at Souvenir! It looks like they changed the front desk out recently! Much needed! It is bigger and better to wrap things it looks like.
I love everything you photographed and the way you placed your new purchase with your shells! So Pretty! Thanks for showing me all the St. Therese and Mother Mary statues. I recently bought a pr. of St. Therese earrings there. They are little and round and on clear etched plastic her popular image adorns each side of my adoring face when I am in the mood to look like a rose!! hee hee. She is my Confirmation Saint. Just another thing we have in common Terri!:-)

I wish I could transport myself to Souvenir right now! Reminds me of my favorite Atlanta shop -- Providence Antiques. I love your find!

I totally forgot about this great little shop! I need to pay a visit. Do they still have a lot of vintage?
