I took my son to the doctor yesterday afternoon and on our way home he indulged me by allowing me to stop at one of my favorite thrift stores. It was late in the afternoon, 4:00 to be exact, so I wasn't expecting to find much of anything. I was almost out the door when I happened to glance down at a basket on the floor tucked beneath a shelf. Lo and behold, it was full to the brim with the most fantastic array of ribbon. I pulled them out one by one thrilled to discover that each one was even more beautiful than the next. I couldn't help but wonder who had donated their gorgeous collection of ribbon and why? I placed them all, one by one, on the counter and told the young lady that I'd be right back; I had to run to the car to fetch my purse. As I approached the car I couldn't help myself and began to jump up and down while explaining to my bemused son how I had just had a major score! He just looked up from his book and smiled that smile that I love so much. It left me wondering what he will tell his future children about me one day.
Do any of you covet ribbon?
My friend Barbara, of Daisy's Mercantile, refers to her ribbon obsession as her "personal porn" and fortunately has a shop where she can indulge herself!
