The best thing about a visit to LOOT is to take in the vignettes that are beautifully displayed throughout the shop.
Take your time and really study each photo...
...you will begin to see a theme emerge.
For Ron it's a gift...
...he doesn't think about it.
He just does it.
He simply throws things together.
I've observed him.
He is truly a genius when it comes to arrangement!
It's the same when he arranges flowers...
...he doesn't fuss, or force,
it just flows.
He creates one of a kind treasures...
...that show up in vignettes next to antiques and newer pieces.
He's symmetrical
and asymmetrical.
His displays are alive
and organic,
whimsical
and traditional.
He's a master of textures,
man made and natural.
He's bold and colorful,
monochromatic and subdued.
And never lacking the patina of age!

What a pretty store. Displays 3,6,8,9,12,17,24,25 are the ones that caught my attention the most.
Such beautiful things in the first place and then the groupings for the vignettes are just stunning. Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs, Marty
Next time I'm in California, I'm going shopping with you!
Terri, you are so right he displays his treasures beautifully. The blue and white porcelin and the shell displays really captured my heart, this is a must see when we get together. Great post and I love the phrase,"fuss or force", I might have to borrow that one, you write beautifully my dear friend, I am impressed, Hugs Kathysue

Just beautiful. Such a talent! The vignette with the coral, shells and clear glass baubles - sigh.... And those clear glass lamps - perfection. Thanks for sharing this virtual shopping trip, much easier on the purse lol. Kathy
Beautiful. I've been noticing this lovely trend of symmetry. I noticed it a ton at market. I love it for all of us who are display challenged! Much easier to figure out!
I want to know what happens when somebody buys a vase from his perfect arrangement! Is there a mad dash to find a replacement? O the agony!
Hi Amanda-
I just happen to have met Terrie through Loot, where I work very part-time for over a year now.
It is not a problem to break up Vingette's for customers. Believe me- there is plenty of replenishment. Loot works with many interior decorators and thier clients, so it is not unusual to take items home on approval to see if it is a match for the client. Please come in and explore!
